If You Already Have a Plan

Many departments and units on campus already have strategic plans. It is helpful to review and update a plan annually, especially when budgeting for the following year. When you do update your plan, review the campus strategic plan and identify:

• Activities in your plan that are aligned with the campus plan and priorities.
  (See: In What Ways Will We or Do We Contribute to the Campus Priorities? and Campus Priorities.)
  
  
• Activities you might want to add or move up in priority in light of the campus priorities
  
  
• Initiatives on campus that are similar to yours that you might want to learn more about or create partnerships
  
  
• Activities you might want to stop doing or reduce in priority.
